Installation and launch
- Confirm Windows and x64 compatibility.
- Verify the complete installer SHA-256 before responding to an unsigned-publisher warning.
- If launch fails, record the version, Windows version and exact message; do not repeatedly reinstall over the only project copy.
Data import
- If columns merge, inspect delimiter, encoding and decimal settings.
- If numeric columns appear as text, check nonnumeric values and missing-value codes.
- If a matrix is rejected, confirm its representation, symmetry, labels and sample-size metadata.
Model readiness
Use the blocker’s Go to action. Confirm every construct has the required indicators, path directions are valid, method-specific roles exist, and no selected variable is being used in an incompatible role.
Calculation and reconciliation
Inference and add-on methods generally require a compatible point result from the same saved project state. Save once, run the prerequisite estimator, then select the add-on. If QuickPLS requests reconciliation, use the explicit save-and-reopen action and preserve the original project.
Results and blank cells
Expand Result notices for warnings and explanations. N/A indicates scientific inapplicability, not zero. If all inference fields are absent in a point-only result, run the corresponding bootstrap method. Enable technical columns only when investigating identities.
Reports and exports
Check the destination is writable, the filename is valid and the target is not open in another program. Retry with a new filename when a collision or lock is reported. Confirm the file after export rather than assuming completion from a dialog closing.
Report a reproducible problem
Include QuickPLS version, Windows version, method, exact settings, expected and observed behaviour, and the smallest synthetic or anonymized reproducer. Do not place confidential research data in a public issue.
